Supplies Needed To Make a DIY Shirt Dog Toy
- 1 Old T-shirt (XL or larger works best)
- Scissors
- String
How to Make a No-Sew T-Shirt Rope Dog Toy
Step 1: Cut the t-shirt into about 1/2 or 1/4 wide strips.
Step 2: Cut the strips at one end so that they are a long piece and not a loop.
Step 3: Tie string around 3 pieces at one end. Then braid those 3 pieces together. To braid, simply cross the outer pieces over the middle and alternate from the left to the right side. Then do another 3 and another 3. You should have 3 finished braids when done.
Step 4: Now tie a string around one end of all 3 braids so they are all tied together.
Step 5: Braid all 3 braids together to make one large braid.
Step 6: When you get to the end tie the two ends together. Then carefully cut the strings off.
Step 7: Trim off ends to they are even.
See how fast and simple this is? Not only will your family dog love you for making this but this is actually a really great craft that the kids can make as well!
