If you love spoiling your dog, you’re in the right place. Our family is all about having our pups be one of the family so when we can create something healthy and quickly at home, why not?

This also teaches the kids that it’s important to know the ingredients that they’re putting into their own bodies as well as into animal bodies as well. You can also say that the dog is eating its vegetables and fruit so why aren’t you? ?

Use these homemade dog treats as a fun way to treat your dog to a fun surprise or to reward them for good behavior. And due to the added ingredients, the kids might think that they’re tasty as well!

Tips For Making DIY Dog Treats

Put your silicone molds on a cookie sheet or cutting board for easy movement

Make sure you have a location in the freezer cleaned out and that the cookie sheet/cutting board will fit for sure. Check it out before you put the molds on the sheet/board.

Use a relatively light weight easy to handle pourable cup for pouring the liquid into the molds, because you are aiming for such a small and thin area.

The molds fill up very quickly, it was hard to just fill them halfway full. You may need to use a turkey baster to suck some of it out.

These treats melt pretty fast.

The best part about making these treats is that you can use up leftover apples and carrots or even some of the scraps as well! Your dog will be so happy to be getting this yummy food that he or she isn’t going to mind at all!
